3 Suspects In Custody Following Jewelry Store Robbery

CHICAGO (CBS)-- Chicago police took three suspects into custody Monday afternoon after gunmen stormed an Edgewater jewelry store.

Police say at least two robbers tied up an employee at Bryn Mawr Jewelry Company while listening to inappropriate rap music, 1125 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. The worker later ran down the street for help while still tied to the chair.

Police were first called to the jewelry store around 1:50 p.m.

The suspects fled with an unknown amount of proceeds from the store.

Area North detectives are investigating.
