Police Seek Missing Mother And Her 2 Children

(CBS) – Illinois state police and Lake County authorities are asking the public's help in tracking down a far north suburban woman who disappeared five days ago with her two small children.

Aneta M. Marsek, 33, of Volo and her two children – Chevelle, 2, and four-month-old Macenzie – have not been seen since Saturday evening, family members told Lake County sheriff's police.

Aneta Marsek was reported missing by her estranged husband, Dan Marsek. She was last seen leaving her parents' home in Wauconda on Saturday, police said.

She is described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall, 150 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Aneta Marsek was driving a black Chevrolet Trailblazer, license plate CZAJA28, according to state police, who issued an "endangered missing person notification" on Thursday.

State police say the circumstances of the case do not merit the issuance of an Amber Alert. Police, however, said the search involves someone who disappeared "under unexplained for suspicious circumstances."

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the mother and her missing children are asked to call (847) 377-4250 or (847) 549-5200.
