O.J. Simpson Reportedly Trying To Sell Knife Allegedly Used To Kill Ex-Wife

(WSCR) According to a report from the National Enquirer, former NFL legend and convicted felon O.J. Simpson is trying to sell the knife allegedly used to kill ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman for $5 million.

It should be noted, however, the Enquirer's report is currently unsubstantiated.

Both Nicole and Ron were brutally murdered outside of a West Los Angeles home on June 12, 1994, leading to one of the most-talked-about murder trials in recent memory.

Simpson was ultimately found not guilty of the double murder in 1995, but a civil jury later declared him liable for wrongful death, ordering him to pay $33 million to the victim's families.

"[O.J. is] looking for a strictly cash deal so that the money can be deposited in offshore accounts and can't be traced directly to him," a source close to O.J. told the National Enquirer.

The report cites a source close to O.J. who believes the former running back, currently serving time for armed robbery, has secretly held onto the knife since the trial.

"O.J. said he'd reveal the location once a firm deal — for a minimum of $5 million — was reached," the source told the magazine.

Still, the source believes this endeavor is about more than money.

"It's not just about the money," the source said. "O.J. will get sick satisfaction from putting one over on the cops and Ron Goldman's family. He'd love to think he's outsmarted them."
