7 Students Hurt In School Bus Crash On Near West Side

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Seven students suffered minor injuries in a school bus crash on the Near West Side, about two blocks west of the United Center.

According to the Fire Department, seven students were taken to local hospitals around 8 a.m., after the crash near the intersection of Madison Street and Hoyne Avenue.

Three children were transported to Rush University Medical Center, two were taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, and two were taken to the University of Illinois Hospital. None of the injuries were serious.

The bus driver refused treatment at the scene, according to the Fire Department.
