(WSCR) If you’re looking for a possible bright spot from the Cubs 2012 campaign, Darwin Barney might be it.

The second baseman is one of three finalists at second base for the National League Gold Glove award, which will be announced Tuesday night on national television.

The Diamondbacks’ Aaron Hill and the Reds’ Brandon Phillips, the reigning Gold Glover, are the other finalists.

Barney led all second basement with a fielding percentage of .997, while tying the NL single-season record with 141 straight games at second base without an error.
