Swirsky: Jim Durham Was 'The Master'
(WSCR) In the wake of former Bulls announcer Jim Durham's passing over the weekend, The McNeil and Spiegel Show reached out to the current voice of the Bulls, Chuck Swirsky.
A close friend of Durham, Swirsky explained the impact the late broadcaster had on his life.
"He was the master," Swirsky said. "He set the bar in this city. I can't begin to tell you what a gentleman he was, but a spectacular broadcaster.
"You won't meet a finer person. He went through a transformation in his life - there was a side of Jim that, in his words, he told me this on the air, off the air, that he needed to get his life together. He became a born-again Christian and was very transparent with his faith"
