The nation has given Paula Broadwell and Jill Kelley more than their share of time in the spotlight. The unfortunate part is that it’s irritating to see anyone who wants 15 minutes so badly to actually get it. Also, it’s difficult to see anyone destroy another person just to get their 15 minutes of fame – even if the person they are destroying deserves to be destroyed for his or her actions.READ MORE: SWAT Team Responding To Building In South Loop For Call Of Men With Guns Inside
Paula Broadwell somehow finagled her way into being the author of a biography about the ex-CIA Director, General David Petraeus, and Jill Kelley managed to become the type of headline star it appears she has wanted to be for some time – regardless of the story it took to get her there.
While all the titillation of a sleazy soap opera – including forbidden sex, beautiful women, and uniformed men – may have been a welcome diversion to some after the brutally – nearly unbearable – presidential campaign, it’s beyond time the media and the nation say: “Time’s up, Ladies! Get off the stage.”
Paula Broadwell, who obviously loves to hobnob with the upper class, and Jill Kelley, who obviously loves to hobnob with uniforms, need to be removed from their honored-heights at the top of the nation’s top newspaper publications and demoted to the likes of the National Enquirer. Even though one or both of them may find themselves on the back page in the crime columns of newspapers before their names are forgotten, they should not be featured in the front page national stories anymore.
For President Barack Obama and his Benghazi, Libya-terrorist-attack-challenged ilk, Broadwell and Kelley have been a blessing by being an extremely satisfying distraction for the news-hungry society. While the nation has been working their remote controls overtime to find the latest titillating shred of sleaze about these two women – Broadwell and Kelley – and the men they adore, the persons in government who refused to tell us anything of logical substance regarding the Benghazi terrorist attack, which killed four Americans including Ambassador Chris Stevens, have had more than enough time to get their stories straight.READ MORE: Archer Heights Offering Food Giveaway Every Tuesday Night
Additionally, we can be somewhat confident that the stories that are starting to come out in the Congressional investigation and more will have somewhat of a degree of truth, as well. After all, there are enough character-assassinated players in this story to nearly guarantee that at least one of the character-assassinated players has the whistle-in-hand and is ready to blow it. After all, why should only a few ships sink when there is a whole fleet of them in the same waters?
