Signs, purchased by the families of those killed by a driver under the influence, will include their loved one's name and accident date, along with the words, "Please Don't Drink And Drive."

The memorial markers cost $150.

Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle sees the benefit as two-fold.

It honors a loved one, and also promotes public safety.

In 2010, 80 people died in DUI accidents in Cook County.
