Bears Waive Okoye, Sign Gurode

(WSCR) The Bears have released defensive tackle Amobi Okoye and signed guard Andre Gurode, the team announced Tuesday.

Okoye was drafted with the 10th overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans. He spent four seasons in Houston before bouncing between the Bucs and the Bears.

In 2012, Okoye played in six games in Chicago, registering one sack and six tackles. Gurode, a five-time Pro Bowler, has started 127 of 151 games over 10 seasons.

Also today, the Bears waived wide receiver Raymond Radway and guard Chris Riley from the practice squad. In a corresponding move, the team signed offensive lineman Derek Dennis and wide receiver Dale Moss to the practice squad.
