Treasurer Rutherford Releases Operation Reunite List
SPRINGFIELD (CBS) -- Illinois Treasurer Dan Rutherford has released an updated Operation Reunite list of names after he recently returned two Purple Hearts to a woman in Rockford whose family had earned them and bronze star to a veteran in downstate Mt. Vernon.
They came from the state's unclaimed property division vault beneath the state capitol. It contains thousands of forgotten or lost valuables, including 200 military artifacts and medals.
