Illini Ranked No. 10 Nationally

(CBS) It's early, but so far, new Illini basketball coach John Groce seems to be the answer at Illinois.

Fueled by a 10-0 record, the Illini were No. 10 in both the Associated Press and coaches polls released Monday.

The last time Illinois was ranked this high was in March 2006 behind Dee Brown.

The club's win over Gonzaga on Saturday night helped to silence those who doubted the Illini.

Six other Big Ten teams cracked the top 25, with Indiana leading at No. 1, followed by Michigan at No. 3, Ohio State at No. 7, Minnesota at No. 13 and Michigan State at No. 19.
