CHICAGO (CBS) — If a few snowflakes help to put you in a more festive holiday mood, you may be in luck on Monday.
Snow is in the forecast for parts of the Chicago area.
However, accumulations are expected to be minimal.
Most of the snow will fall along the Lake Michigan snowbelt in northwest Indiana and southwest Michigan.
Even there, it won’t amount to much–maybe one or two inches, especially in eastern Porter County in Indiana.
Folks on the Illinois side of the border may see some flakes flying in the air, but not much accumulation.
Highs are expected in the mid 30s on Monday with a strong northwest wind, making it feel much colder.
Lows tonight are forecast for the mid 20s.
