Jay Cutler Has Sprained MCL, Expected To Play Against Packers
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Bears quarterback Jay Cutler has a sprained knee, but is expected to start on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, according to a published report.
The Chicago Tribune, quoting NFL sources, reports Cutler has a sprained medial collateral ligament.
The paper quotes team sources as saying the injury is not nearly as serious as the one that knocked him out of the NFC championship game two years ago.
Bears coach Lovie Smith said he wasn't too concerned about Cutler's injury.
"He practiced without any trouble at all. … He should be fine."
