Quinn Promotes Veterans Lotto Tickets For Christmas
RIVERSIDE (CBS) -- Veterans cash lottery tickets make great stocking stuffers. Governor Quinn dished out that idea at a news conference at the Hines VA Hospital Sunday.

"And so right here, a day or two before Christmas, it's an opportunity for people who haven't made up their minds on what they're buying their friends and relatives, to think about the veterans cash," said Quinn.
Governor Quinn made his plea next to a beautifully decorated Christmas tree at what's known as the Fisher House where families of veterans undergoing medical treatment can stay free, to be near their loved one, like Jim Hogan.
"I told Holly when she asked me if I would say a few words, I told her 'You really want to see tears in my eyes,'" said Hogan. "What they did for my family, it's unbelievable."
Quinn encourages gifting veterans cash tickets and military miles to help vets dealing with homelessness, no health insurance and PTSD.
