CHICAGO (STMW) –A 19-year-old man was found shot dead Sunday in an alley not far from his home on the Far South Side, authorities said.

The man, Devante Watts, was found with a gunshot wound to his head about 11:30 a.m. in the 500 block of East 109th Street in the Roseland neighborhood, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Watts, of the 10700 block of South Langley Avenue, was dead at the scene, the medical examiner’s office said.

Area South detectives are investigating.
