Report: Illini Hire W. Michigan's Cubit As OC
(WSCR) According to a report, Illinois has hired former Western Michigan head coach Bill Cubit to be the team's offensive coordinator.
Cubit coached Western Michigan for eight seasons, registering a record of 51-47 with three bowl-game berths.
Illinois fired co-offensive coordinator Chris Beatty on Saturday.
The Illini were winless in the Big 10 in 2012, going 2-10 overall.
