Five Displaced In Extra-Alarm Fire On South Side

CHICAGO (STMW) -- 5 people, including two children, were displaced due to an extra-alarm fire on the South Side Sunday afternoon.

A 2-11 alarm was called about 4 p.m. for a fire at 9023 S. Exchange Ave., according to Fire Media Affairs.

The fire was in a three-story vacant building but spread to a neighboring building at 9027 S. Exchange Ave., Fire Media Affairs said.

No one was injured but two adults and three children were displaced from the neighboring building, Fire Media Affairs said.

The 2-11 alarm was terminated at 4:44 p.m., Fire Media Affairs said.
