Libertyville Band Director Fired For 'Inappropriate Physical Relationship'

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Officials in Libertyville High School District 128 say band director Jeffrey Daeschler has been fired for having an "inappropriate physical relationship" with a female student.

A statement from the district says the relationship took place "several years ago."

Daeschler had been on paid administrative leave since November, when the relationship was first reported to administrators.

He was fired by the school board during a special meeting last night.
