Man Fatally Shot In Back Of The Yards
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was fatally shot Friday night in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.
The man was found about 9:30 p.m. in the 5400 block of South Laflin Street, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.
The man was discovered unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the face, Greer said.
Jovantay Alexander, 19, of the 1800 block of East 72nd Street, was pronounced dead at the scene, the Cook County Medical Examiner's office said.
No one is in custody and Area Central detectives are investigating.
