Another Hair Salon Robbed, This Time In Broadview
BROADVIEW, Ill. (CBS) – An armed suspect robbed a Hair Cuttery in west suburban Broadview Wednesday in a similar fashion to previous holdups at salons elsewhere in the Chicago region.
This time, the robber entered the store at 118 Broadview Village Square around 11:30 a.m., displayed a weapon and demanded an employee give him money from the cash register. The robber fled with an undisclosed amount of money, Broadview police said in a news release.
No injuries were reported.
The suspect was wearing a black winter hat, black sunglasses and a red winter coat.
Anyone with information about the crime is urged to contact Broadview police at (708) 345-6550.
Broadview police did not say whether they think Wednesday's robbery was linked to a rash of holdups at other area hair salons, including in Skokie, Niles and Chicago. The robber's method in those incidents was similar.
