(CBS) For the first time since the Jerry Sandusky scandal broke, Joe Paterno’s widow will speak out.

Sue Paterno will sit down with Katie Couric in studio for the nationally syndicated show “Katie.”

For 50 years, Sue Paterno was married to the now defamed former Penn State head football coach, Joe Paterno.

Paterno coached the Nittany Lions from 1966 to 2011, leading the team to two national titles and 409 victories. He was fired in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky child sex-abuse scandal that ravaged State College, Pa.
