Obama Traveling To Chicago Friday To Address Gun Violence

CHICAGO (CBS) —President Obama will be back in town Friday to talk about the ongoing gun violence in the city.

Officials say he is adding the trip to his post-State of the Union swing around the nation.

The president's Tuesday State of the Union address is expected to dwell on the economy with a chunk of that speech devoted to his push for legislation to curb gun violence, proposed in the wake of the Sandy Hook school massacre.

A White House official says Mr. Obama will travel to Chicago for an event to talk about policy. It will also address gun violence.
