(CBS) Super Bowl Sunday? If Mother Nature has her way next year, we could have our first-ever Super Bowl Saturday or even Super Bowl Monday.
According to a report, the NFL already has plans in place if inclement weather affects the NFL’s cold-weather Super Bowl to be played in New York in February of 2014.
The report cites a league source who said the NFL is considering various options that include the possibility of delaying the contest several days in the event of a weather emergency on Super Bowl Sunday.
The league even could decide to play the game on Saturday if faced with unfavorable weather forecasts.
