Two Men Wounded In Shootings On South, West Sides

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two men were wounded in separate shootings Tuesday evening on the South and West sides.

About 7:45 p.m., a 22-year-old man was shot in the buttocks as he rode in a vehicle in the 1400 block of East 87th Street in the Avalon Park neighborhood, said police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.

The man was taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital, where he was listed in "stable" condition, Alfaro said.

A little before 5 p.m., a 32-year-old was shot as he got out of his vehicle in the 700 block of North Troy Street in the Humboldt Park neighborhood, Alfaro said.

The man suffered a gunshot wound to the right hand and a graze wound to the right arm, Alfaro said, adding that the man was listed in good condition at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Police have made no arrests in either shooting as area detectives investigate.
