Man Charged With Fatal New Year's Day Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was charged with first-degree murder for the shooting death of a man on New Year's Day in South Side Bronzeville neighborhood.
Clyde M. Jackson, 19, of the 4500 block of South Drexel Boulevard, was charged with one count of first-degree murder, according to police News Affairs.
Jackson allegedly shot Kevin Jamison in the head at 2:45 p.m. on Jan. 1 in the 4500 block of South Champlain Avenue, police said.
Jamison, 28, was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Jackson is expected to appear in bond court on Friday.
