CAROL STREAM, Ill. (CBS) – A minivan lost control and crashed into the side of a Carol Stream house Thursday afternoon, but no serious injuries were reported.

The vehicle ended up in the home’s living room, but fortunately the parents and three teens inside were upstairs.

“There was smoke everywhere,” neighbor Angie Hatcher said.

She first-responders took the occupants out of the van: a child of about five and a teen driver, who appeared shaken up. The child seemed to be OK.

The occupants of the home were displaced by the accident, which left the house uninhabitable, CBS 2’s Mike Parker reports.
