Boy, 17, Killed In Calumet City Shooting

CALUMET CITY, Ill. (STMW) -- A 17-year-old boy was killed in a shooting in south suburban Calumet City Saturday night.

Police responded at 9:03 p.m. to a call of a person shot in the 0-100 block of Oglesby Avenue, Calumet City police said.

Officers found the boy shot in a bedroom of an apartment, Calumet City police said.

Tyshaun McClurge, of the 17300 block of Wausau in South Holland was pronounced dead at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey at 9:15 p.m. according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

The Calumet City police and the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force are conducting a death investigation.
