White Sox Put Danks On Disabled List
(CBS) John Danks will officially start the 2013 season where he ended his 2012 season: on the disabled list.
The White Sox officially placed Danks on the 15-day disabled list to continue his recovery from left shoulder surgery. The move is retroactive to March 22.
Danks underwent shoulder surgery Aug. 6 and his recovery has gone slower than the team originally hoped, even with a longer spring training this year.
The White Sox also placed left-hander Leyson Septimo on the 15-day disabled list (also retroactive to March 22) with a left shoulder strain and reassigned left-hander David Purcey to minor-league camp.
With the latest moves, the White Sox have 31 players remaining in their major-league camp. They need to get down to 25 by Sunday.
