Man Killed In Rollover Crash On West Side

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 32-year-old man was killed in a single-car rollover crash early Saturday on the West Side.

Delmond Strong was driving a Mercury Sable northbound in the 3100 block of South Western Avenue when he lost control, struck a light pole and rolled the car over about 3 a.m., authorities said.

Strong, of the 3600 block of West Polk Street, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he died 30 minutes later, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

He was the only occupant of the car at the time of the crash.

The police Major Accidents Investigation Unit is investigating.
