Woman Has Dog Stolen From Car In Niles

(UPDATE 4/4/2013: The puppy has been found and return to its owners)

NILES, Ill. (CBS) -- A woman had her dog stolen after leaving it in a parked car on the 5700 block of Touhy Avenue in Niles on Monday afternoon. The dog is a seven-month-old male Pomeranian named Luigi.

According to a release from Niles Police, while the victim was away from her vehicle an unknown female white suspect wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt was seen on video stealing the dog from the victim's car and then fleeing with the dog in a different vehicle.

The video also showed an older woman with the suspect.
