CHICAGO (STMW) — A Brighton Park neighborhood man is facing multiple felony sexual abuse charges for allegedly fondling several girls on the Southwest Side since late February.

Valentin Lasco, 24, was charged with attempted aggravated criminal sexual assault and three counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, all involving victims younger than 13, according to police News Affairs.

He was also charged with four counts of aggravated battery in a public place, police said.

He allegedly fondled young girls on several occasions, which and happened in the Southwest Side Chicago Lawn district between Feb. 24 and April 6, police said.

Lasco, of the 4600 block of South Kedzie Avenue, will appear for a bond hearing Tuesday.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about similar incidents to contact the police department’s Special Investigations Unit at (312) 492-3845.
