Taste Of Chicago To Include City's Food Trucks

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The Taste Of Chicago is rolling in a new offering this summer.

Food Trucks At Taste

For the first time, some of the city's food trucks will be selling menu items before and during the Taste's concert events.

The trucks will be parked near the Petrillo Band Shell and will sell food one hour before and then during the concerts.

Customers will pay for the food truck fare with regular Taste Of Chicago tickets.

Applications to participate at the Taste of Chicago will be sent to all those licensed to serve on food trucks, according to the mayor's office.

Applications will also be available online at the Taste website, tasteofchicago.us.

Taste concerts are every evening and seating is available for $25 per seat; lawn seating is free.

The opening night concert is the band fun. Tickets go on sale mid-May.
