Autopsy: Man Pulled From Lagoon Was Stabbed To Death

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man whose body was pulled from a lagoon in Marquette Park on the Southwest Side on Friday had been stabbed to death and his death has been ruled a homicide, an autopsy has found.

The body of the man, who remained unidentified as of Saturday, was pulled from the lagoon at the park in the 6700 block of South Kedzie Avenue, the Cook County Medical Examiner's office said.

The man, a black male believed to be in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:50 a.m., according to the medical examiner's office.

An autopsy on Saturday found that he had suffered multiple stab wounds and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the medical examiner's office.

Area Central detectives are investigating.
