Rooftop Owners Worried About Wrigley Renovation

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The Wrigley Field rooftop owners invited neighborhood residents to take in tonight's game with Texas from the rooftop at 3637 North Sheffield. WBBM's Bob Roberts reports that they're not sure what to think of the deal to modernize Wrigley Field.

Rooftop Owners Worried About Wrigley Renovation

Beth Murphy speaks for the rooftop owners. She worries that the planned Jumbotron could put four of the rooftops out of business. But she's not sure:

"I would be really interested to see the specifics. We haven't seen the plan my neighbors haven't seen the plan," said Murphy.

Triangle Neighbors President Jim Ludwig says he considers the rooftops an experience unique to Wrigley Field:

"Those fans are devalued, these business are devalued. You are messing with what is a beautiful Cubs tradion since the 30s.

And he says closing Sheffield could drive out some of the businesses in Wrigley's shadow.
