Reds Auction Off Baseball Covered In Jeff Samardzija's Blood

(WSCR) Well, this is mildly disturbing.

On April 24, Cubs starter Jeff Samardzija cut his hand trying to stop a line drive up the middle. The right-hander stayed in the game for a few pitches before having his wound looked at.

The result? A couple of bloody baseballs, one of which the Reds auctioned off for $130.01.

All proceeds went to charity.
