Couple Robs Bank In McKinley Park

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man and woman working together robbed a bank in the Southwest Side McKinley Park neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon.

The non-takeover style robbery occurred about 3:30 p.m. at the Fifth Third Bank branch at 1950 W. 33rd St., according to the FBI.

The male half of the duo was a Hispanic man 25 to 35, about 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-6 with a thin build. He was wearing a black hat, black sunglasses and a black shirt. His partner was described as a white woman 20-30 wearing a striped shirt, jeans and sunglasses.

Anyone with information should call the FBI at (312) 421-6700. There is a reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspects.

It was at least the 50th bank robbery in the area this year, according to the FBI. In 2012, there were 218.
