West Side Man Arrested For Threatening Girlfriend With Gun, Weapons Recovered
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police arresting a West Side man for threatening his girlfriend with a gun Saturday night discovered assault weapons and drugs at his home.
Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 2100 block of South Halsted Street about 9:30 p.m. Saturday where a man was threatening his girlfriend with a gun, according to a release from police News Affairs.
Officers searched the home and found several assault weapons, including a Mac-10 with a silencer, a shotgun, six handguns, an assault rifle, two AK-47 assault rifles, numerous magazines and 90 grams of cannabis, police said.
Jeremy Lydon, 43, was charged with one count of unlawful use of a deadly weapon with a silencer, one count of unlawful use of a weapon, one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, one count of possession of cannabis and one count of no firearm registration certificate, police said.
Lydon was expected to appear in bond court Sunday.
