(CBS) Big Z could be getting another chance in the Majors.

According to a report, the Phillies have signed Carlos Zambrano to a minor league contract.

Last week, it was reported Zambrano had agreed to join the Independent League’s Long Island Ducks, but the deal was never actually signed. Now, Zambrano will get a shot in the Phillies organization, where he’ll report to extended spring training.

For the Marlins in the 2012, Zambrano was 7-10 with a 4.49 ERA in 35 games.
