(CBS) After 13 seasons in the NFL, all with the Chicago Bears, Brian Urlacher has officially announced his retirement.

During his career, Urlacher earned eight Pro Bowl nominations, while leading the Bears to the Super Bowl in 2006.

Come 2018, the middle linebacker will be eligible for enshrinement in the National Football League’s Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.
