(CBS) After spending nearly a full month on the disabled list with a hamate fracture in his left hand, the White Sox have reinstated second baseman Gordon Beckham from the 15-day disabled list.

In a corresponding roster move, the club has designated infield Tyler Greene for assignment.

Beckham suffered the injury during an at-bat on April 10 in Washington.

The 26-year-old Beckham is hitting .316 (6-19) over seven games this season.

The White Sox 40-man roster now decreases to 38.
