Emery 'Extremely Disappointed' In Rodriguez
(CBS) Following his second arrest in three months, Bears second-year tight end Evan Rodriguez is in the dog house with general manager Phil Emery.
Rodriguez was arrested Friday and charged with DUI after officers pulled him over on the Kennedy Expy. near Hubbard. Rodriguez registered a .17 BAC-- more than twice the legal limit. The former fourth-round pick out of Temple was also arrested in March on disorderly intoxication charges.
Speaking at Halas Hall following OTAs Tuesday, Emery expressed his disappointment with Rodriguez.
"Evan is a very likeable guy," Emery said. "We have talked. Disappointed. I would use the word extremely.
"There are a lot of things we have to work through. All off-the-field incidents are subject to NFL policies and guidelines. We've got to work through these things."
