BURBANK, Ill. (CBS) -- A woman was killed when her car crashed into a house in southwest suburban Burbank overnight.
WBBM Newsradio's Bernie Tafoya reports 59-year-old Marlene Walter was on her way to her job as the manager of a Dunkin' Donuts in Chicago, when she lost control of her Pontiac Aztek along State Road, east of 79th Street around 2:30 a.m.

She then hit a one-story brick home in the 5400 block of State Road, where 71-year-old Catherine O'Brien was getting ready for bed.
"I never heard a noise like that before," she said. "My dogs didn't even bark at first, until this young guy from down the street … he's knocking on my door, telling me, 'Come on, get out of there. Get out of there. It might fall down.'"
O'Brien said an ambulance took away the middle-aged woman who was driving.
The Cook County medical examiner's office Walter was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center at about 3:30 a.m.
Police believe she might have suffered a medical emergency before the crash, but that will be determined by an autopsy. Police do not believe she was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time.
