(CBS) Tebowmania continues.

The New England Patriots have officially signed Tim Tebow, the team announced Tuesday.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted the deal was for two years with no guaranteed money.

The signing comes weeks after a Yahoo! Sports story indicated Patriots head coach Bill Belichick hated Tebow as a player, prompting the following statement from the Patriots coach:

“Every single player has strengths and weaknesses. But regardless of that, for anyone to have represented that is the way I feel about Tim Tebow is completely untrue, baseless and irresponsible,” Belichick said. “It is unfortunate that something so inaccurate was reported.”

Mike Freeman of CBSSports.com reports Tebow will “study a great deal at tight end.”
