Man Dies After Falling From Motorcycle, Getting Hit By Car In Lakeview

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man died after falling from a motorcycle and being hit by a taxi in the North Side Lakeview neighborhood Thursday afternoon.

The accident occurred about 3 p.m. near North Lake Shore Drive and West Grace Street, authorities said.

Joseph Woss, 31, fell from a motorcycle and was hit by a taxi when the driver didn't have enough time to brake, authorities said.

Woss, whose home address wasn't immediately known, died at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center at 4:09 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

No citations were issued in the crash as the police Major Accident Investigation Unit continued to investigate.
