Police: Man Shot Dead In West Garfield Park Gas Station
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot dead Monday afternoon in a West Garfield Park neighborhood gas station, police said.
The man was sitting in a van parked in a gas station in the 400 block of South Pulaski Road when another vehicle approached about 3:20 p.m. and gunman inside fired shots into the van, police said.
The man in the van, believed to be in his 20s, was shot in the head and died at the scene, police said.
The gunman fled in the vehicle and is not in custody. Area North detectives are investigating.
