Police: Man Tried To Lure Girl Into Van
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police are looking for a man who tried to lure a girl into a van in the Kenwood neighborhood Tuesday night on the South Side.
A man in a van began yelling for a 13-year-old girl walking south in the 5000 block of South Dorchester Avenue to get into his vehicle about 7 p.m. Tuesday night, according to a community alert from Area Central detectives.
The girl ran away and got home safely, police said.
The man is described as a bald black man in his late-30s or early-40s with a dark complexion, heavy build and glasses, police said. He was driving a faded gray mini van.
