CHICAGO (STMW) — One person was arrested Monday evening after a large fight left three women stabbed in the Hermosa neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The “big fight” happened in the 1900 block of North Karlov Avenue about 6 p.m., police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said.

Three women, all in their 20s, were stabbed, but their injuries are not considered to be life-threatening, Gaines said.

Paramedics took two of the women to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in critical condition and took a third woman to Norwegian-American hospital in fair condition, the fire department said.

Police arrested one person in connection with the stabbing, but could not say late Monday what prompted the fight.

Area North detectives are investigating.
