Woman, Boy Hurt In Washington Heights Fire

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A woman and an 11-year-old boy were taken to the hospital early Tuesday, after a fire at a home on the Far South Side.

Firefighters responded around 5:30 a.m. to a fire at 1316 W. 100th Pl., in the Washington Heights neighborhood.

The fire was put out in less than 45 minutes, but a 48-year-old woman and an 11-year-old boy were taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park, according to the Fire Department. The woman was in fair to serious condition, and the boy was in good to fair condition at the time.
