Police Warn Of Home Invasions, Rape Attempts In Marquette Park
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police have issued an alert for people on the Southwest Side, about a home invader who tries to sexually assault women.
WBBM Newsradio's Bernie Tafoya reports there were two attempts to rape women as they slept in their homes in the Marquette Park neighborhood.
Police said the attacker broke into two homes just a few blocks apart; one near 68th Street and Washtenaw Avenue, and another near 70th Street and Talman Avenue.
For some reason, the attacker was scared off and left soon after starting each attack.
Police advised residents of the area to make sure their doors and windows are locked at night.
