$1.125 Million Awarded To Victim Of Dog Bite

"He thought he was going to get eaten alive."

Patrick Salvi is the attorney for the family of Jordyn Bankston, who was 15 years old two years ago when he was attacked by a bull masstif near his home in Zion.

Salvi says the attack went on for 10 minutes, until someone burned the dog with a lit cigarette.

"Jordyn was then taken to the hospital. He was operated on. He had severe lacerations to his scalp, his right shoulder, his right arm and his right thigh."

And Salvi says Jordyn suffered post-traumatic stress disorder.

He is expected to graduate from high school next year.

Salvi says the $1.125 million settlement with the dog's owner's insurance company is the largest in Illinois history for a dog bite case.
